How to Setup VPN
VPN Setup Steps:
1) The VPN that we are going to use is FortiClient. For operating systems other than Windows 7, click on the link below to download Forticlient:
2) Once you have downloaded and installed FortiClient, open it on your system and agree to the terms of service. After that, you would see a window that would look like the below image.
If you had a different version of FortiClient, then the user interface would look a bit different, but the details to be filled would be the same. In case of any confusion, contact your account manager. Fill in the details exactly as shown in the photo given below and click "Save".
3) Once you fill in the details correctly and click "Save, and you will see the following window: In this window, you would need to enter the unique username and password that would be assigned to your company. You would get that from your account manager.
4) After entering your credentials and clicking on "Connect," you would receive a popup that would ask about your certificate. Click on "yes," and your VPN would get connected and look like this below image.
Now that your VPN setup is complete, we will move to the CallerDesk platform to register the agent for WebRTC.
The important thing to note is that your agents need to connect to the VPN server every day before starting their calling process. And if at any time they face any issue in calling, then the first thing they need to check is if their VPN is active and connected. A stable Internet connection would make sure that your calls go uninterrupted.
