If you want to test outbound calling from your CallerDesk account, here’s what you need to know.
Step 1: KYC Verification (Required for Full Access)
To make outbound calls to any number, you must submit your KYC documents for verification. This is required due to TRAI & DOT Norms.
- Submit your KYC documents.
- Approval usually takes less than a day.
- Once approved, you can start making outbound calls without restrictions.
For a list of required KYC documents, check this guide.
Step 2: Testing Outbound Calls Without KYC (Limited Access)
If your KYC is not yet approved, you can still test outbound calls, but only to verified users in your CallerDesk account.
Example:
- Suppose you add two users, Amit and Neha, to your CallerDesk account.
- Amit can log in and make an outbound call to Neha (as long as Neha’s number is verified in CallerDesk).
This allows basic testing before full activation.
Step 3: Making an Outbound Call
Once your account is set up, follow these steps to make a call:
- Ensure your registered mobile/landline is nearby.
- Enter the phone number you want to call.
- Click on the “Call” button at the top left of your CallerDesk dashboard.
- CallerDesk will first call your registered number.
- Pick up the call and wait while the system dials the other person.
- Once they answer, start your conversation!
Now you’re all set to test outbound calling on CallerDesk!
