How to Test Outbound Calling in Trial Accounts

If you want to test outbound calling from your CallerDesk account, here’s what you need to know.

Step 1: KYC Verification (Required for Full Access)

To make outbound calls to any number, you must submit your KYC documents for verification. This is required due to TRAI & DOT Norms.

  • Submit your KYC documents.
  • Approval usually takes less than a day.
  • Once approved, you can start making outbound calls without restrictions.

Step 2: Testing Outbound Calls Without KYC (Limited Access)

If your KYC is not yet approved, you can still test outbound calls, but only to verified users in your CallerDesk account.

Example:

  • Suppose you add two users, Amit and Neha, to your CallerDesk account.
  • Amit can log in and make an outbound call to Neha (as long as Neha’s number is verified in CallerDesk).

This allows basic testing before full activation.

Step 3: Making an Outbound Call

Once your account is set up, follow these steps to make a call:

  1. Ensure your registered mobile/landline is nearby.
  2. Enter the phone number you want to call.
  3. Click on the “Call” button at the top left of your CallerDesk dashboard.
  4. CallerDesk will first call your registered number.
  5. Pick up the call and wait while the system dials the other person.
  6. Once they answer, start your conversation! 

Now you’re all set to test outbound calling on CallerDesk!
